DIRECTOR DIRECTOR MIKKO KUPARINEN MIKKO KUPARINEN When Mikko was about to graduate from high school over 10 years ago, he didn´t have any idea what he wanted to do with his life. By coincidence he saw a brochure of a film school on his art teachers desk and realized that you could actually study such a thing as film making. Since then, making films has been his ambition and now a boosting career.Mikko has a Masters of Arts degree in film directing from the University of Art & Design, Helsinki. For such a young guy he has already got an impressive and broad experience of working in the industry.Mikko has directed internationally awarded short films, reality television, a comedy series for tv and the celebrated tv-version of Kristian Smeds theatre play The Unknown Soldier. His latest work is a feature length television movie based on a hit play Mobile Horror by Juha Jokela.Realistic dramacomedy is Mikko´s favourite style and he´s especially good with getting great performances out of actors - both professionals and amateurs. Besides working, Mikko enjoys cooking, running and travelling, especially in a really hot climate.
